Adding Accounts

Direct from your iPhone or iPod touch

  • Using Safari, browse to http://myeve.eve-online.com/api/ and log in when prompted.
  • Either tap and hold on the limited API Key information block, then select copy (the whole block should be automatically selected), or tap the ‘Yes, I need the full API Key…’ button, then copy the full API Key information.
  • Quit Safari and launch iClone.
  • Go to ‘More’, then ‘Accounts’.
  • Tap ‘Import Account from Clipboard’ – you should see a confirmation message if this is successful.
  • Tap the ‘More’ tab to back-out of the Accounts screen, then select ‘About’ and finally tap the refresh button.
  • A refresh of all API derived data should now occur.

Address Book Import from a Mac

  • On a Mac that synchronises address books with your iPhone or iPod, open ‘Address Book’
  • Create a new contact:
    • Set the ‘company’ field to be ‘iClone’, leave all other details blank
  • Go to http://myeve.eve-online.com/api/ and log in if needed.
  • Request the full access API key if needed
  • Cut and paste the ‘User ID’ and ‘API Key’ into the ‘note:’ field for the iClone address book entry, putting a comma between them. There shouldn't be any spaces or other white-space present.
  • The User ID should be a number
  • The API Key is a long sequence of letters and numbers.
  • If you have other accounts:
    • Log out of MyEVE via http://myeve.eve-online.com/logout.asp
    • Log in with the next account
    • Copy the User ID / API Key again
    • In the ‘note:’ field in address book move the cursor to the end of the current entry, then hit return
    • Insert the new User ID / API Key pair
    • Repeat as needed
  • Finish editing the address book entry
  • Wait for this information to synchronise with your iPod or iPhone
  • On your iPod or iPhone, launch iClone
  • Go to ‘More’, then ‘Accounts’
  • Hit ‘Import Accounts from Address Book’
  • Tap the ‘More’ tab to back-out of the Accounts screen, then select ‘About’ and finally tap the refresh button.
  • A refresh of all API derived data should now occur. This may take a while on the first run!
